About Burton Leander

"The project" has also seen major changes both inside and outside of the club. All this recent activity has helped make Burton Leader one of the most well equipped rowing facilities in the UK.

"The project" has also seen the complete re-fit of the club room including the building of a new bar with kitchen alongside the addition of ever important disabled toilet and shower facilities. The new club room has added a new focus to after training activities with regular club nights making full use of the facilities available. The club room also provides a large area for circuit training. The fully licensed clubroom is available for hire at very competitive rates - check the social page for details.

The Ergo room is fully equiped with 9 Concept 2 Ergo's and 3 Concept 2 DYNO's. For technical sessions there is also a Rowperfect and mirrored walls.

The 8's shed has also been a palce of change with the laying of a new floor and the replacement of all the boat racking.

The weights room has been the most recent area of improvement. With the aid of the East Staffordshire Sports Council, Burton Leander has been able to completely refit the weights room with a new leg press, squat rack, a full range of olympic weights and olympic bench.

Outside the club house the improvements continue with the provision of an extensive new landing stage. The development of the new landing stage means that 3 8's can boat simoultaneously with ease.
